New School – Stroud

A motion promised by Kingston City Councillor Peter Stroud on Kingston’s new high school makes no mention of the Memorial Centre.

Stroud promised a town hall meeting last week he’d ask city council for the debate to be re-opened – but his lengthy motion asks for the city to request the minister of education halt planning for the new school.  It goes on to say it would allow the city to meet with the Limestone District School Board regarding plans for downtown schools that better reflect the will of the people in Kingston.

Stroud is an avid supporter of keeping both KCVI and QECVI open.
