Missing Man

Kingston Police detectives believe a man who has been missing since Thursday of last week is in the Sharbot Lake area.

Police received information that 59 year old Terry M. CLARK got a ride to Sharbot Lake on Saturday and was seen in the area of Highway 38 and Highway 7.   He was last seen on the Thursday morning in the Conacher Drive area of Kingston.  He is described as 5’10”, 240 pounds, with hazel eyes, a greying brush cut and goatee.

Anyone who knows where Terry M. Clark may be is asked to contact Kingston Police.

Woman – Support

A Kingston woman who suffers from a crippling form or arthritis is hoping for an operation in France.

The arthritis 34 year old Danielle Aldridge suffers from affects the discs in her neck.

The operation she wants isn’t paid for by OHIP and costs $90,000.

Family and friends of the mother of two have already raised about a third of that amount and an online fund has been set up for Aldridge at:

Safe Pedestrians

The Kingston Coalition for Active Transportation has launched a safety campaign called “Look, listen and be seen. Be a safe pedestrian”.

The campaign encourages pedestrians to wear safety reflectors while they’re walking at night or during twilight when 57% of fatal accidents involving pedestrians take place.  Free safety reflectors are available to pick up at KFL&A Public Health and other locations in Kingston.

Dream Home Winner

A man from Napanee has a brand new home in Westbrook thanks to the Kinsmen Dream Home lottery.

Miller Hodgins ticket was selected during the draw at the Kingston Home Show yesterday.

More than 54 hundred tickets were sold for the draw and the club says it raised more than $250,000 for local charities.

Crystal Ball

Time is running out for students to audition for Crystal Ball mentorship opportunities.

Students returning to Limestone District School Board schools in September are eligible for mentorships in four categories…music, visual arts, design and media.

Auditions have to be uploaded by Friday of this week.

Don Cherry Restaurant

One of Kingston’s newest eateries will be a Don Cherry Sports Grill.

The restaurant will open on the site of the Howard Johnson Hotel near the corner of Princess and Victoria Streets in June.

Cherry has no ownership interest in the chain or local franchise.
