Weather Records

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for the region with temperatures today and Tuesday expected to reach 30 degrees or higher.

It says high temperatures and humidity pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.

The high yesterday at the Kingston airport was 26 degrees…just shy of the record set in 1872 and in 1920.

The temperature at the airport has been moderated by a breeze of Lake Ontario.

Environment Canada says a cold front is expected to move across Southern Ontario through the day Wednesday bringing cooler temperatures starting on Thursday.
