Phoenix – Pay Problems

The federal government says it’s still trying to clear a backlog of more than seven thousands employees experiencing problems with their pay because of the Phoenix pay system.

Employees who have been overpaid are being asked to contact the call centre immediately so that can be dealt with before income tax is due.

Officials also admit it is taking far too long…sometimes months….to process pay change requests for things like overtime and parental leave.
