Student – St. Lawrence Computer System

A former St. Lawrence College student has pleaded guilty to altering grades in the St. Lawrence College computer system.  A judge gave 29 year old Sameer Aasim a conditional discharge on Tuesday.  It means he won’t have a criminal record if he successfully completes a year of probation.

Aasim had attached used a device to capture the computer logins and passwords of his professors.  He then used those to read their emails, see tests in advance and alter his own test scores as well as those of about 23 other students.  The professors noticed and Aasim was expelled from the college.
