Kingston Police is raising the red flag after two drug overdoses on the weekend…one resulted in the death of a man in his 20’s.

He was found with no vital signs in a downtown residence around 8:00 Saturday night. Police were told he had been using heroin and officers found a white substance that may have been cocaine in the residence.

A news release from Kingston Police says there is evidence injection drugs being sold in Kingston have been mixed with other drugs…including Fentanyl.  They’re encouraging anyone at risk of an overdose to visit the Street Health Centre at 235 Wellington Street.  Its Opioid Overdose Prevention program provides them with a Naloxone kit and training.  Naloxone is used to counter the effects of an overdose.
