Scarves

You might have seen some colourful additions to the trees in City Park on Saturday.

Students from Ecole Monseigneur Rem-Gaulin were tying knitted scarves around the trees.

The scarves are for the homeless and they were knitted by students as a unique way for them to deal with hyperactivity disorders.

Grade two teacher Marie Heuglin says after the students learn to knit it allows them to have the stimulation they need while they still take part in classroom activities and don’t disrupt the class.
