•Remove and compost vegetable plants after they’ve finished producing or have been killed back by frost.

•Adding fresh manure to garden beds in the fall allows it to age over the winter, and enrich the soil for planting next spring.

•Plant garlic now for harvest next fall.

•Extend your root vegetable harvest by storing them in a cool, dry place.

•Take note of what worked and what didn’t in your vegetable garden this year and make plans to improve or move next season.
