Poor Chandler came to the KHS as a result of an investigation. At that time, he was extremely thin and in need of immediate veterinary care. He has been in the care of the KHS since early September, and is now finally ready to find a loving forever home of his very own. Chandler is a big, loving, silly bundle of fur! He is an active dog that would thrive in a home with a large yard or a place nearby to ensure his exercise needs are met. He might even enjoy being your jogging companion! Given Chandler’s emaciated state when he arrived at the shelter, we expected for him to be weary of sharing his food and treats. He has not shown guarding behaviour here, but he eats very quickly and will gulp his meals. Chandler would benefit from an experienced owner who can work with this gulping behavior to ensure it will not escalate. Despite a few quirks, Chandler is overall a lovable dog who will make a wonderful companion to a family with children over the age of 12 years. If you think you are the match for him, drop by the shelter today!
