Friday Furball 2015

Poor Rocco was surrendered to the KHS as his family was moving and they were unable to take him with them. He was confused being left behind, and he was timid and nervous of shelter staff upon his intake. However, with some TLC and attention, Rocco showed us his goofy, silly side! He absolutely loves to play and run around our off-leash, fenced in play yard. He is a big boy and would require consistent training and socialization. Rocco doesn’t seem to mind the company of other dogs while he’s outside, but he has shown some stress behaviours when other dogs walk passed his kennel. We think Rocco would prefer to be the only canine in the household, but would enjoy exercise sessions with other well-socialized dogs. The dog park may be a bit too overwhelming for the pooch, though! If you have a grown family with human companions over the age of 14 and you think Rocco might be the right fit for you, drop by the shelter and speak with our Customer Care staff!
