New High School

The property at QECVI will become the home of Kingston’s new 36 million dollar high school.
Trustees with the Limestone District School Board voted 7-2 in favour of the location at their meeting last night.
The new high school will replace QECVI and KCVI and house students in grade 7 and 8 students who go to Module Vanier at KCVI.
The Board hopes to have the school open for classes in September of 2018 and says it will include a running track, football field, soccer pitch and ample green space.
The QECVI property will also be home to the new elementary school to replace First Avenue and Frontenac Public Schools.
